Terms of use
Last updated 10 October 2026
The service
TeachFolio is an online service for schools: teachers hand in professional work, Heads of Department review it, and school leaders see progress and evidence. By creating an account or using TeachFolio you accept these terms. If you use it for a school, you confirm you may do so on its behalf.
Accounts
- Use your own account, keep your password and authenticator codes private, and tell us at once if you think someone else used them.
- School leaders must use two-step sign-in.
- Heads of Department decide who joins their department; school managers can view every department of their school.
Acceptable use
Do not upload anything unlawful, harmful or that you have no right to share; do not upload students’ personal information unless your school allows it; do not try to reach other schools’ data, test our security without written permission, overload the service or resell it.
Your content
Work handed in belongs to the teacher and the school as agreed between them. You give TeachFolio permission to store, display, process and copy it only to provide the service. We do not use it for any other purpose.
Plans and payment
Plans are for one academic year. You can pay online (PayPal or card) or ask for an invoice. Plans do not renew automatically. Prices are shown before you pay and include VAT where it applies. If something isn’t right with a payment, contact us and we will sort it out fairly.
Availability
We aim for TeachFolio to be available 99.5% of the time during term, and we take nightly backups. Short maintenance happens outside school hours where possible. We are not responsible for problems caused by your internet connection or by third-party services such as Google Drive or OneDrive.
Ending
You can stop using TeachFolio at any time and delete your account on My account. A school can download its data and ask us to delete it. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, after warning you where possible.
Liability
We provide TeachFolio with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability in any year is limited to the amount paid for TeachFolio in that year. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer or data protection law.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where TeachFolio’s operator is registered (shown below), unless your school’s contract says otherwise.
